2. Obtained a Certificate in Legislative Drafting (2004) from the University of Johannesburg

3. Obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in the Drafting and Interpretation of Contracts (2005) from the University of Johannesburg

4. Obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Law (2007) from the University of Johannesburg

5. Attended the Fall 2004 Internship Programme arranged and sponsored by the Indiana State Legislative Services Agency, Indiana University (USA) and their South African partners (the University of Pretoria and Rand Afrikaans University (University of Johannesburg))

2. Received a Senate award for being the best second year student in the Law Faculty (1996)

3. Received numerous awards for being the best Regional Court Prosecutor (Durban)

Career

Public Service

October 2003 to date:

Serving in the Office of the Premier, KwaZulu-Natal, initially in the capacity of State Law Advisor (October 2003 - June 2006), then Senior State Law Advisor (July 2006 - January 2007) and currently (as from  February 2007) as Principal State Law Advisor in the Chief Directorate: State Law Advisory Services
   

November 1999 to September 2003:

Served the National Prosecuting Authority as a District Court Prosecutor, Regional Court Prosecutor, Control Prosecutor and State Advocate
