Database of LEGAL SERVICES PROVIDERS
The Office of the Premier in the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government wishes to establish a Database of Legal Services Providers to facilitate the provision of specialist legal services (predominantly in the areas of litigation, commercial and contract law, labour law, analysis of legislation, legislative drafting and the rendering of legal opinions) which may be required from time to time, to Departments in the Province.
The aim of the establishment of the Database is to ensure that Departments in the Provincial Government are in a position to make informed decisions regarding the appointment of legal services providers outside government when the need arises to complement and supplement internal legal services components in the interests of the promotion of legal certainty, smooth administration and enhanced delivery.
The primary focus is to ensure that the objective of Black economic empowerment and gender representivity is addressed in an appropriate manner.
